After the two editions of 2019 and 2021, the Kriegselefanten -Treffen Toscana has become the reference meeting for collectors of the heavy German sidecars of the Second World War, the BMW R75 and the Zündapp KS750.

We will once again ride our prized machines through the hills and medieval villages of Chianti, along dirt paths and curvy, cypress-lined roads, made unique by the gentleness of the hills but also by its rugged off-road terrain.

Tuscan cuisine and the famed local wine will, as always, enrich the event as will the locations of unparalleled beauty, immersed in Chianti’s medieval heritage. In fact, the roads, often unpaved, will lead us to quaint villages, castles, vineyards and cellars.

This year, the event will be hosted at an exceptional location: the Castello di Meleto that will combine the beauty of the area with its impressive eight-hundred-year-old walls and its renowned cellar.

The Chianti region is located in the vicinity of all the famous Tuscan art centres and tourist attractions, making it ideal for a longer family getaway. It is only 45 km to Florence and Siena is 40 km away. Arezzo and Volterra 60 km, Pisa 120 km and Forte dei Marmi, on the Tyrrhenian Sea 150 kilometres. Tuscany boasts one of the most beautiful landscapes of Italy and in the heart of a region of extraordinary hospitality, food and wine.

The routes wind along the roads, mostly unpaved, in the area called “CHIANTI CLASSICO”, where Chianti Classico wine is historically produced. Today it is a destination for tourists from all over the world, where landscapes of harmonious beauty intertwine with villages and medieval castles, where the famous wine goes perfectly with typical dishes of ancient tradition.

Thursday evening will be dedicated to the registration of participants and an in-depth briefing by the organisers, mandatory for all participants, which in the 2023 edition will be held within the walls of the Castle of Meleto, a true medieval jewel.

Sunday will be reserved for greetings and preparation for the return journey. Unless, of course, you have chosen to enjoy Tuscany in the following days too!

High-level logistics and catering services are provided:

  • We will have the support of a scouting team (on modern motorbikes) that will guarantee the safety and cohesion of the group in all phases of the event.
  • Even the level of catering is taken care of in every detail: we will taste the delights of Tuscan cuisine both during dinners and in the nimbler “on-the-road” lunches, so as not to interrupt the flow of the gathering.

Wehrmacht WWII uniforms will not be allowed. Full stop.

The ban is extended to camouflage smocks (Flecktarn, Splittertarn, Sumpftarn, etc.), even if unmarked, all WH helmets (M35, M40, M42, M38, including light replicas) and soft caps (Feldmutze, Bergmutze, Schirmmutze, Schiffchen) even if unmarked.

Tactical and divisional symbols with a political connotation (swastikas, skulls, runes, etc.) must be covered. Double rune plaques must also be covered.

Failure to comply with this rule will strictly result in exclusion from the event without the right to a refund.
